Scholarship Awarded

At the passed industry day on 14 June the Kittyhawk Post was honored to presented 6 more scholarships to local students pursuing degrees in STEM!

Jasmine Hughes, a recent C-J grad who will major in Chemical Engineering at Purdue University was presented the Barnes Scholarship presented by Post President Norm Campbell. 

Ronald Knapp, a rising Senior in Chemical Engineering at University of Dayton was also presented the Barnes Scholarship presented by Post President Norm Campbell. 

Alex Buckley, a rising Senior in Aerospace Engineering at University of Cincinnati was also awarded the Barnes Scholarship presented by Post President Norm Campbell.

Abby Bishop, a recent graduate of Alter HS, received the Heapy Engineering scholarship, presented by Mark Brumfield. She plans to study Mechanical Engineering at Notre Dame

Jay Collins, a recent graduate of Alter HS, received the Kolber Family scholarship, presented by Mr. Tom Kolber. He plans to study Electrical Engineering at Ohio State University

Finally, the Post donated $1000 to the Sinclair Foundation, which in-turn awards a SAME scholarship to students pursuing engineering, architecture, or environmental degrees at Sinclair. The 2018 Sinclair awardees were Ryan Sanford, pictured with Sharon Smith of the Sinclair Foundation, and Courtney Watkins (not pictured).
