April Luncheon Pictures

On Thursday, April 9th, our Post had yet another excellent luncheon!  This time around, we were able to give Bill Sampson his award on behalf of the Post for his extraordinary effort in promoting the Yellow Ribbon program as well as creating such an incredible relationship between our Post, the Ohio Army National Guard, and Kae Elementary!  Bill was presented the Regional Vice President (RVP) award for “outstanding service to the Society” in 2014, by Rosemary Gilbertson, the Ohio Valley Region’s RVP. Rosemary was unable to attend the meeting, so Marci Snyder, former RVP, made the award presentation to Bill:

Thanks for all of your immense dedication, Bill!

Next, Nadja Turek presented the two Science Fair winners, with their certificates:

Jared Ritter is a 9th grader from Carroll HS and won with his  “Atmospheric Temperature and CO2 Levels” project.  It was the best environmental project at the West District Science Day!

Leena Vyas is an 8th grader from Tippecanoe Middle School and won with her “Mini Wind Turbine: What Car Speed Generates Optimal Electricity?” project.  It was the best engineering project at the West District Science Day!

Congratulations, you two!

Afterwards, Mr. Lofurno provided his presentation on the Akron-Canton Airport Master Plan.  Thanks for sharing your work with us, Aaron!
